Chile’s Health Superintendent ordered Isapres to pay back US$1.5 million to customers, after an audit showed it have overcharged customers this amount during 2006. Despite promising to reduce obesity from 16 percent in 2000 to 12 percent by 2010 Chile's government has done little to make this happen. At the moment 3.4 million Chileans suffer from obesity and it is predicted to rise to four million by 2010.
