Telefonica Take Over

Telefonica Spains offered Telefonica Chile, the largest fixed - line telecommunication company in Chile, to buy all shares it does not own,The deal was estimated at around $985 million last Thursday Set. 11, 2008.

Spain's Telefonica planned to offer a thousand pesos for "Series A shares" per share that has recently closed down 3.49 percent at 801 pesos before the offer

Chile Highest Interest Rate

Santiago, Chile's central bank says the prospects investors for developed economies remain weak. International financial market also continue to be tense and inflation rate for the month of August reach 9.3 percent as expected.
