Financial problems face Chile's private healthcare

Chile’s Health Superintendent ordered Isapres to pay back US$1.5 million to customers, after an audit showed it have overcharged customers this amount during 2006. This came only 3 months after recruiting former finance minister Eduardo Aninat to iron out Chile’s private healthcare system.

Subway 'groping' to be stopped in bid to stop straying hands

An unusual byproduct of the recently overhauled Transantiago subway system, has been the increase in groping incidents which have upset local women. Chilean President Michelle Bachelet said Thursday during a ceremony marking International Women’s Day that her government would not tolerate the current surge in “subway groping”.
