New details have come to light in the ongoing investigation as to the cause of the death of former Communist Party Secretary General Victor Diaz Lopez. According to reports emanating from the investigation lead by Judge Victor Montiglio, the secret operative known only as the Elephant gave a teary confession in which he admitted to killing Diaz.Original source: Santiago Times. A French Judge has given the go ahead to open legal proceedings in France for 17 top Chlean leaders under the Pinochet regime. These will not begin until 2008.
