Antofagasta Plc - a Chilean copper miner will close their small Lince open pit mine 'cause of falling metal prices. The closure would make 440 employees and about 1,000 contractors jobless. Analyst said the move will have a good impact for the group which would likely result a break-even in Michilla in 2009 instead of suffering a $30 million loss.
